Trenton boy’s tennis wallops Wentworth Military Academy

The Trenton Bulldogs improved to 4-6 on the season with an 8-1 triumph in Lexington on Wednesday afternoon, against the Wentworth Military Academy Red Dragons.

Trenton won 5 of 6 singles matches, and all three doubles matches in varsity play against WMA.  Jacob Davis beat Robert Jordan 8-2, Nick Shields took a 8-1 decision against Delun Xu, Kade Ockenfels swept by Jiahui Hou 8-love, Wyatt Neal donwed Jiahao Hou 8-2, and Dylan May was an 8-2 winner opposite Derek Clevenger.  Wentworth’s only victory came in #4 singles, where Collier Pickvance downed Creed Houghton of THS 8-3.

In doubles, Trenton’s teams of Davis/Ockenfels and Neal/May won by 8-2 finals.  Shields and Houghton won by a score of 8-4.

The Bulldogs and the Dragons played two JV doubles matches.  C.J. Sibbit and Zack Maberry of THS won their match-up 6-4, but Trenton’s team of Colten Hamilton and Weston Otto fell by a final of 6-3.
