The Trenton Junior Varsity Bulldogs walloped the visiting Maysville Wolverines on Monday night at C.F. Russell Stadium, winning by a score of 54-0. The second quarter was particularly kind to the Bulldogs, and cruel to the Wolverines, with THS scoring 38 unanswered points in turning an eight point lead at the end of the first quarter into a Trenton runaway.

Chase Marsh opened the Trenton scoring with a 13 yard run with 5:24 left in the opening quarter.  Mark Trump added the two-point PAT.

In the second quarter, Trenton picked up touchdown runs from Jose Velazquez, Sam Schilling, and a pair of scoring scampers by Trump.  Matthew Sibbit had a touchdown run, while Trenton added two-point conversion tallies on four of the five touchdowns scored in the quarter.  Isaac Harris, with 2:32 left in the half, scored on a fumble return of 30 yards.

Jaren Whitney finished the scoring in the third quarter, with a 51 yard run and the two-point conversion, making the final 54-0.

On Tuesday night, the Trenton Middle School Bulldogs were able to pull out a much-tighter affair, 32-28 over Polo, finishing their season with 2 wins against 4 losses.  Tyler Siemer scored on a 59 yard first quarter jaunt for Trenton, with the two-point conversion tying the game at 8.  The Bulldogs added two scores in the second quarter, with Siemer scoring from one yard out, and Kayden Spencer scoring on a 3 yard run.  Neither two-point conversion was made, leaving the halftime score 20-14 Bulldogs.

Trenton extended the lead to 26-14 in the third quarter, as Siemer scored on a one yard plunge.  Up 26-20 in the fourth quarter, Siemer added another one yard score.  Eight points scored by the Panthers later in the final quarter were enough to pull Polo within a touchdown, but not enough to get the win, as TMS emerged victorious 32-28.

Trenton Coach Chris Parks told KTTN, “I’m proud of the boys effort this season.  They have been working hard all year.  Their hard work really paid off in the last game of the season.”
