The Platte Valley Longhorns have promoted Cree Beverlin to the head coaching position of the football program.  Platte Valley is the name of a cooperative program in northwest Missouri, combining Jefferson and South Nodaway.  Beverlin, who has been defensive coordinator of the Longhorns, has been a social studies teacher at Jefferson High School in Conception Junction.

Former coach Dan Collins resigned at Platte Valley in early March, with the promotion of Beverlin following a couple of weeks later.

Beverlin is a graduate of Trenton High School, North Central Missouri College, and Northwest Missouri State University, with a bachelor’s degree in social science education from NWMSU.
