Trenton High School’s Werthen Gass won medalist honors for the second consecutive afternoon, as the Lady Bulldog golf team hosted the Chillicothe Lady Hornets and Putnam County Lady Midgets in a Wednesday afternoon triangular at Riverside Country Club in Trenton.

Gass, out of a total of 15 varsity golfers on the nine-hole course, was one of only two to shoot a sub-50 score, with a 46 good enough for the medalist honors.  Chillicothe took the 2nd through 5th overall positions, as Hannah Haakonstad shot 49, Riley Brobst 51, and Hallie Jones 52 for the Lady Hornets.  Maddie Lamp of CHS was 5th individually at 54, with Lexi Hargrave shooting 60.  Chillicothe won the team competition, with a total of 206 outdistancing runner-up Trenton’s tally of 232 strokes.  Putnam County was third with a score of 241.

Trenton, for the first time this season, was at full strength with four eligible golfers, as Maci Henson and Oakley Madden shot 61’s, with Grace Holcomb shooting 64.

For the Lady Midgets, Molly Parker finished with 55, Daysha Caley 58, Delanie Munden 63, with Whitney Neighbors and Jocelyn Capps at 65.
