Windy Conditions Prove Tough For Pirates

NCMC

CHILLICOTHE, Mo. (NCMCPirates.com) – The NCMC Pirate golf team hosted their first tournament at Green Hills Golf Course on Wednesday afternoon. Conditions were windy for the teams in attendance.  Playing the event were Graceland University and Missouri Valley College along with the Pirates.  NCMC placed 4th out of 4 in team standings but did have freshman Seth Gladbach, tying for 9thoverall individually.

“The golf course showed its teeth today with the windy conditions.  When you start reacting to those conditions instead of playing your own game it can really work on you mentally.  I feel like the guys had a lot of positives to take away from today and I look forward to seeing them in action this weekend in Illinois,” remarked Coach Sager.  “Thanks to Green Hills and their team for getting the course into tournament condition and hosting our event.  I’m hoping that this can become an annual tournament at their facility.”
Graceland University won the four-team event with a score of 34-over par 322, with the Missouri Valley “Team 1” at 331, and Missouri Valley “Team 2” at 342.
In addition to Gladbach’s 85 (+13) score, other North Central totals were 88 (+16) for Jamie Connelly (13th place), 90’s (+18) for both Cade Mullenix and Easton Klaver (15th place), and 94 (+22) for Charlie Hoffman (18th place).
