Three-star receiver Jafar Armstrong of Bishop Miege High School of Shawnee Mission, Kansas has given a verbal commitment to the University of Missouri Tigers.  Armstrong is MU’s fifth commitment in the Class of 2017, announcing the news of his commitment via Twitter.

Armstrong, in choosing MU, passed on offers from Kansas, Illinois, New Mexico, Wyoming, Northern Illinois, and Western Michigan.  At 6-feet-1 inches tall and 185 pounds, Armstrong is rated as the country’s #86 wide receiver for the 2017 class by Rivals.com and the #80 wideout by 247Sports.com.

Bishop Miege is the same school that produced former Mizzou All-American and current Denver Bronco defensive lineman Shane Ray.  Despite being a Kansas school, Armstrong is a Missouri native, living in Lee’s Summit.
