KCI Champion Lady Hornets hold off Brookfield, earn 56-50 Monday night win

The Penney High School girls, 48 hours removed from winning the KCI Tournament championship over Lawson on Saturday afternoon, headed east on Monday night, playing the Brookfield Lady ‘Dogs in an early December road test.

Behind 30 points from junior point guard Nora Ford, the Lady Hornets stayed hot with a 56-50 win at BHS.  Graycen Prothero had 14 points for Hamilton, while for Brookfield, Cassi Conard had 15, Rylee Sensenich 13, and Kaylie Stufflebean 12 points.

The Bulldogs returned the favor in the boys game, knocking off Penney 52-41.  Cooper Casna had 21 points for Brookfield, with Jacob Day adding 14.  Ryan Cook had 14 points for Hamilton.
