The Trenton Lady Bulldog tennis team won four of six singles matches against the Maryville Spoofhounds on Monday afternoon, part of a 5-4 victory for THS.
Trenton had three 8-3 head-to-head victories over Maryville, with Astrid Soriano defeating Galapin in the #1 singles match, Chloie Hall downing Sheil in the #4 singles match, and Soriano combining with Lydia Leininger to win the #1 doubles match over Burns and Rouner.
Leininger was victorious in the #2 singles match over Burns 8-4, with Kaytee Wright of Trenton winning in #5 singles, 8-4 over Wood.
Maryville victories over Trenton were Rouner over Voorhies at #3 singles 8-4, Hansen over Lee at #6 singles 8-0, Galapin and Wilmes over Voorhies and Hall at #2 doubles 8-6, and Wood and Hansen, 8-3 at #3 doubles over Wright and Lee.
In junior varsity competition, Maryville won 3 matches to Trenton’s 2. Final results:
