Latest media poll sets up Bell Game Top-10 matchup, ranked Chillicothe Hornets traveling to #1 Maryville

High School Football

The power in high school football, as it pertains to small-school north Missouri, continues to be concentrated right along U.S. Highway 36, where ranked teams in the Week #3 media poll include Penney High of Hamilton (#3 in Class 1), Chillicothe (#10 in Class 3), Brookfield (#6 in Class 2), and Marceline (#2 in Class 1).  This week, those four teams face tremendous tests, as Hamilton hosts Lathrop in the KCI opener for both 2-0 schools, Chillicothe looks to dethrone Midland Empire Conference rival and #1 ranked Maryville, while the annual Linn County football feud, known as the “Bell Game”,  is played in Marceline, where the Tigers host bitter rival Brookfield.
