The Mercer Cardinals are off and running with the 2018-2019 basketball season, taking a pair of convincing home-court victories over Hale High School two days before Thanksgiving. Now, after making it through the holiday and Sunday’s blizzard, the Mercer teams are busily preparing for a tough early-season test, a Thursday night trip to Hamilton to play the Penney Hornets in a varsity doubleheader. A challenging trip to Green City (Tuesday 12/4) and Princeton (Friday 12/7) will follow.
