The University of Missouri football program, following a trip to Lexington, Kentucky this Saturday night, will be gearing up for a mid-afternoon matchup with the South Carolina Gamecocks at 2:30 p.m. on October 21 in their annual homecoming game, a contest set to be televised on SEC Network.

The Tigers, with a 5-1 record, are riding a four-game winning streak against the Gamecocks since 2019. On the other side, South Carolina (2-3, 1-2) led by quarterback Spencer Rattler, is looking to bounce back after facing tough opponents like No. 12 North Carolina, No. 1 Georgia, and No. 19 Tennessee.

The upcoming game will be preceded by MU’s traditional homecoming festivities, including the annual parade, starting at 9 a.m.

Missouri recently slipped out of the Associated Press Top 25 after suffering their first loss of the season to LSU, with a final score of 49-39. The Tigers are now ranked 26th with 69 points in the latest AP poll. In the SEC, six teams remain ranked: No. 1 Georgia, No. 11 Alabama, No. 13 Ole Miss, No. 19 Tennessee, No. 22 LSU, and No. 24 Kentucky.

Missouri faces another ranked opponent as they travel to Lexington, Kentucky, to take on the Wildcats. Kentucky, coming off a 51-13 defeat against top-ranked Georgia, will host the Tigers at Kroger Field on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
