The police in Muskogee, Oklahoma, have confirmed that they are investigating the shooting deaths of three relatives of NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson. The bodies of Jack Janway, Terry Janway, and Dalton Janway were discovered at their home on Monday. Investigators believe that Terry Janway shot and killed her husband and grandson before taking her own life.

The incident came to the attention of the police after a woman called 911 to report a disturbance involving a gun before abruptly hanging up. Upon arriving at the scene, the police found one person near the front door, and they later heard a gunshot from inside the house. The bodies of the two other individuals were discovered inside. The victims were identified as the parents and nephew of Jimmie Johnson’s wife, Chandra Janway.

In response to the tragedy, Johnson’s race team, Legacy Motor Club, announced on Twitter that they would be withdrawing his No. 84 Carvana Chevrolet from the upcoming NASCAR Cup Series event in Chicago. The team also stated that the Johnson family has requested privacy and that no further statements will be made.

NASCAR expressed its condolences and support to Chandra, Jimmie, and the entire Johnson and Janway families, stating that the entire NASCAR family stands with them during this difficult time.
