NCMC completes weekend Ketcham sweep, women head for Florida with 9 game streak

The North Central Missouri College Lady Pirates rolled to an 88-56 victory over the visiting William Penn junior varsity Statesmen on Saturday afternoon, improving their season record to 10-2, winners of nine consecutive games.

Sophomores Madison Gonseth and Kendey Eaton each scored 17 points to pace the NCMC offense, with Samm Jett adding 11, and Maddie Book 10 points.

The Lady Pirates traveled to Kansas City International Airport on Monday morning, en route to Miami, Florida, where the North Central women will play two teams from the Sunshine State, battling Indian River State College on Tuesday afternoon at 1 o’clock, and the Miami-Dade College Sharks on Wednesday afternoon at 4:30, in the final games of the 2017 calendar year for North Central Missouri College.

The NCMC men finished the 2017 portion of their schedule on Friday night, downing the Culver-Stockton College junior varsity, 82-63.  Jalen Gant led the Pirates with 27 points and 10 rebounds, while Jordan Reece had a dominant game with 24 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Pirates to victory.
