Princeton’s opponent in Saturday’s final will be the Pattonsburg Panthers, who used the combination of balanced offense and stifling defense to beat North Harrison, 60-32.  Brett Curtis led the Panther attack with 12 points, while Collin Castleberry had 11 for the Shamrocks.

On Wednesday night, the consolation semifinals were played at Gilman City, with the host Hawks taking a pair of victories, as the Ladyhawks beat Pattonsburg, 46-29, while the Hawk boys downed Union Star, 76-50.  The Tri-County girls took a 58-14 triumph over Union Star, while the East Harrison boys defeated Tri-County, 49-30.

Tonight (Friday night) at the Gilman City Tournament, there are three games.  In the consolation championship games, the Tri-County Lady Mustangs play the Gilman City Ladyhawks at 5 o’clock, followed by the Gilman City Hawks against the East Harrison Bobcats at 6:30.  The girls third place game will tip at 8 o’clock, with East Harrison against Northeast Nodaway.

Saturday’s slate of games from the Gilman gym starts with the boys third place game between Northeast Nodaway and North Harrison at 1:30.  The championship games on KTTN FM 92.3 follow, with the Princeton Lady Tigers playing the North Harrison Lady Shamrocks at 3 o’clock, with the Princeton Tigers and Pattonsburg Panthers dueling at 4:30.
