Six Wildcats named All-District; Dabney, Shaw, and Pauley as first-teamers

The media members from across northeast Missouri have chosen first and second team All-District selections for the 2019-2020 basketball season.  Three Milan Wildcats received first-team honors, with three others named second team in Class 2.  Milan boy’s basketball coach Andrea Dabney, after leading the ‘Cats to the “Show-Me Showdown” for the first time in school history, received the boy’s Class 2 coach of the year award.

From the Wildcat boys team, Hunter Shaw and Ryan Dabney were named first-team selections in Class 2, with Eddie Gonzalez making the second team.  Putnam County guard Kelton Bain was named as a Class 2 second-team selection, with Marceline’s Luke Abeln on the first team.

For Class 2 northeast Missouri girls, Milan sophomore Cady Pauley highlights the first team.  Milan’s Gray sisters, junior Jordan and senior Tahli, were named to the second team, joined by Marceline’s Kenzie Stahl.

In Class 1 boys, named all-district first team were Meadville’s Dominik Gannan and Linn County’s Michael O’Kane.  Meadville’s Conner Fletcher and Laydon Fields of Green City were second-teamers, with district champion coach Drew Nier of Meadville named coach of the year.

Class 1 girls first-teamers were led by Green City senior Brooke Littrell and Meadville junior Kiera Holcer.  Green City’s Delaney Embree is a second team selection.

Brookfield had three players named All-District, all second teamers, with Rylee Sensenich and Cassi Conard representing the Lady ‘Dogs, with Cooper Cisna for the Bulldog boys.  From the “Show-Me Showdown” reaching Macon Tigerettes, Katelyn Hawkins and Lexi Miller earned first-team All-District status.
