Tigers sweep titles at Gilman City Tournament

The Princeton Tigers, both #1 seeds heading into the Gilman City Tournament, swept away the tournament titles on Saturday afternoon with a pair of strong performances, heard locally on KTTN FM 92.3.

The Princeton girls beat Gilman City 63-39, with the boys routing North Nodaway 55-22.  In Saturday’s third place boys game on KGOZ FM 101.7, the Pattonsburg Panthers defeated the Gilman City Hawks 63-54.

Down the road in Hamilton, the Lathrop Lady Mules remained unbeaten by taking down South Harrison in the girls championship game at the H.I.T. 53-41.  The Savannah girls won third place in overtime over East Buchanan 46-39.

The boys title game at Penney High School went to Higginsville, 54-48 in overtime over East Buchanan.  The host Penney Hornets claimed third place over Savannah, winning 68-54.
