The Richmond Lady Spartans, and Trenton High School head coach Murray Dennis, traveled to Riverside Country Club on Thursday, as the Spartans met the host Bulldogs in nine holes of competition.

With the varsity match tightly played throughout, Trenton edged Richmond, 208-211.  RHS did have the individual medalist, as Ava Wirsig shot 47. The only other sub 50 score put up in the afternoon came from Trenton’s Kaitlyn Mounce, with a 49.  The third best score of the day came from a JV competitor, with Trenton’s Maci Henson, just two days removed from a second place finish in the GRC meet, shooting a 51.

Werthen Gass show 52 for Trenton, with Hannah Kennebeck at 53, Jordain Oshel 54, and Lana Raymo 55, just enough strong team balance to overtake Richmond.

Alissa Pritchett shot 54, Hunter Fickes and Gracie Marshall both 55, and Taya Weber 58 for the Lady Spartans.

For the Trenton JV, Oakley Madden shot 63.  Richmond JV scores were 62 for Katie Smith and 67 for Rylee Adams.
