Battling season’s toughest competition, Trenton Middle School boys finish 6th at Putnam County

The Trenton Bulldog middle school track team finished in a 6th place tie on Thursday, competing in the Putnam County Junior High Relays. Milan took the boy’s title, followed by Kirksville, Brookfield, Scotland County, and Putnam County.

The TMS boys only first-place finish came from Chase Otto in the 800 meter run, with a winning time of 2 minutes, 20.05 seconds.  Quincy Griffin jumped 33 feet, 8 inches to finish second in the triple jump.

In third place for TMS was the 4 by 800 relay team of Connor Crawford, Brice Gibler, Logan Virtue, and Chase Otto, with a time of 11 minutes, 36.2 seconds.  Camdyn Leeper was third in the 100 meter hurdles at 17.39 seconds.

Middle School boys track coach Brandon Boswell, while noting the challenge of the strong competition in Unionville, said he was “happy with how the boys ‘gave their best effort'”.

The Trenton boys and girls host the Trenton Middle School Relays on Tuesday, April 18th at C.F. Russell Stadium.
