The All-District selections have been announced for Class 2, District 6, representing a tournament at Trenton High School won by South Harrison High School earlier in October.

The South Harrison Lady Bulldogs had five players named to the All-District 6 first team, with senior Hannah Carter joined by sophomore catcher Lexi Hunter, freshman infielders Ambrey Hunter and Bailey Barnett, and senior outfielder Emma Chamberlin.

South Harrison beat Marceline 8-7 in the district championship game, ending the Lady Tigers two-year reign as state champions.  Marceline was well represented in the All-District first team, with junior catcher Ellie Neblock, senior infielder Madison Teeter, senior infielder Brailey Niemeier, junior outfielder Finley Watson, senior utility Emma Cathey, and senior at-large selection Ireland Bloss receiving the honor.

Trenton High School lost to Marceline in the district semifinals after defeating Hamilton in the quarterfinal round, with the Lady Bulldogs placing three players on the All-District first-team, in sophomore catcher Kaylor Hodge, junior pitcher Avery Clark, and senior infielder Madi Moore.

The remainder of the first team includes Putnam County pitcher Allise Perkins, Brookfield pitcher Gracyn Beckman, Brookfield infielder Hadlye Sackrey, Hamilton outfielder Teagan Ford, and Brookfield outfielder Mya Sackrey.

Emma Roberts of Trenton was one of two pitchers on the All-District second team, along with Marceline’s Kalli Barnett.  Catchers are Hamilton’s Lakelyn Shatto, Brookfield’s Maddie Wilbeck, and Putnam County’s Jenna Knowles.  Infielders are South Harrison’s Saige Bennett and Abbey Henry, Hamilton’s Rain Gray, Marceline’s Emmy Collins, Brookfield’s Emree Littrell, and Milan’s Avery Pickering.

Second team outfielders are Traylen Brundage of Putnam County, Marceline’s Ava Thornburg, and Milan’s Keagan Eddy, with the second-team utility selection named as Emerson Pauley of Milan High School.
