NFL

The Minnesota Vikings defeated the San Francisco 49ers with a 22-17 win on Monday night. Kirk Cousins threw a touchdown pass to Jordan Addison in the closing seconds of the second quarter, part of a game that saw the rookie Addison, a USC product, post a breakout performance with seven catches for 123 yards.

Camryn Bynum intercepted Brock Purdy twice in the fourth quarter to secure the victory for the Vikings. Christian McCaffrey scored twice for the 49ers, but their late interceptions cost them the game.

The 49ers played without Deebo Samuel and Trent Williams due to injuries. Kirk Cousins reached the 300-yard mark for the 50th time in his career. LB Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles and LB Dre Greenlaw suffered injuries for the 49ers, while LB Brian Asamoah and LG Ezra Cleveland were injured for the Vikings.

The 49ers will host Cincinnati next, while the Vikings will visit Green Bay.
