Gallatin clips Trenton by 11 shots to sweep team, individual titles at GRC Golf Tournament

The Gallatin Bulldogs shot a winning team score of 312 on a chilly and damp Wednesday at the Green Hills Golf Course in Chillicothe, winning the Grand River Conference championship.  Trenton was second with a score of 323 and Stanberry third, with a team score of 342.

Gallatin’s Jett Simmons, with a round of even-par 72, won the GRC’s individual championship, followed by runner-up Mitch Carroll of Stanberry at 2-over park 74, and Trenton High School junior Lathan Croy, with a three-over par score of 75 good for third place.  Trenton’s Nate Swann was fourth at 77, with Wyatt Bird of Gallatin in fifth place at 78.

Others in the top 10 include Corbyn Guile of Trenton and Logan Burns of Gallatin (tied for 6th – 80), Gabe Cole of Gallatin (8th – 82), Zach Maggart of St. Joseph Christian (9th – 83), and Collin Breckenridge of King City (10th – 86).

Schools represented in the GRC Tournament were Gallatin, Trenton, Stanberry, Albany, King City, Maysville, Milan, Princeton, Putnam County, St. Joseph Christian, South Harrison, and Worth County.
