Gilman City Hawks coaches shows for Tuesday, January 10, 2017

High School Basketball

The Gilman City Hawks face an HDC Conference doubleheader test tonight (Tuesday night), heading to Jamesport to play the rival Tri-County Mustangs.  The girls game is at 6 o’clock, followed by the boys contest.

The Ladyhawks lost to visiting Green City one week ago today (January 3rd) 64-44.  After tonight’s game at Jamesport, the Ladyhawks get ready for a trip to Breckenridge on Friday night, before Newtown-Harris visits Gilman City next Tuesday, January 17th.  As Head Coach Adam Clark explained in the interview, the Ladyhawks will be without leading scorer Hailey Burrows for the games against the Lady Bulldogs and Lady Tigers.

“The Adam Clark Show” (Gilman City Ladyhawks basketball):

Like the Gilman City girls, the Hawk boys team lost by twenty points to Green City (67-47), continuing a trend where Coach Clark’s team scores the ball decently well, but struggles to keep the opponent off the scoreboard consistently.  The Hawks will look to build momentum going into the end-of-the-month Gilman City Tournament with the road games this week at Tri-County (tonight) and Breckenridge (Friday night), before hosting Newtown-Harris in one week.

“The Adam Clark Show” (Gilman City Hawks basketball):

The Gilman City coaches shows will air at 3:40 TUESDAY afternoon on KTTN FM 92.3. Both Hawks squads head to Tri-County tonight with identical 2-8 season records.
