The Grundy R-5 Panthers both played three games last week in the Novinger Tournament, with the Lady Panthers rebounding from a first-round defeat to take the consolation hardware, while the Panther boys, with a mark of 1-2, settled for sixth place.
The home opener for the Panthers is coming up this Thursday night, with a pair of tough games for the Galt squads as the Green City Gophers make the trip west on Highway 6 to provide the opposition for Grundy. On Friday night, Grundy R-5 opens conference play at East Harrison.
