Lady Pirate Softball Signs Ashlyn DeMint of Hardin-Central

North Central Missouri College Lady Pirate softball has added Hardin-Central product Ashlyn DeMint to their recruiting class.  DeMint is a very versatile player who received All-Conference honors all four years of high school and was an All-District performer for three years.

“Ashlyn will give us depth at multiple positions.  She is a very good catcher as well as a middle infielder.  She works extremely hard to be the best player she can be,” commented Head Coach Steve Richman.

“Not only can she play on the defensive side of the field, she is very talented with the bat,” remarked Richman of her offensive abilities.  At the plate, Ashlyn carried a .406 batting average her senior year.

Hardworking, dedicated players like Ashlyn who are true student athletes are the order of the day for Coach Richman’s first softball recruiting class.  Like other 2017 recruits, she has multiple softball awards and will be a great piece for the success of the program for the next two years.

In addition to DeMint’s signing, Coach Richman was in Unionville on Thursday, where Putnam County High School senior Kennedy Childers signed with the Lady Pirates softball program.  More information on Childers will be coming to KTTNSports.com soon.
