The North Central Missouri College Lady Pirates headed for Kansas City International Airport on Thursday morning, for a flight to Miami, Florida, as Jenni Croy’s team plays two games before enjoying two days of rest and relaxation in the heat of South Florida.

On Friday night, the 8-3 Lady Pirates battle Miami-Dade Community College, before NCMC challenges Broward Community College on Saturday afternoon.

Just prior to arriving at KCI, Head Coach Jenni Croy spoke with Sports Director Tom Johnson.  The interview will be aired at 5:35 Thursday night on KTTN FM 92.3:

The Lady Pirates, after losing in blowout fashion at defending national champion KCK on November 30th, rebounded with a second half rally at a 7 point home win over John Wood on Saturday.  On the injury front, a North Central team already thin in numbers learned that sophomore forward Dasia Young suffered a complete tear of her anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in her knee in the first half of the KCK game.  Young, a Kansas City native, will be out for the rest of the season.  No other ligaments were damaged or torn, according to Coach Croy.
