The Gallatin golf tournament was held at the Daviess County Country Club in Tuesday, with the host Lady Bulldogs posting two of the three top scores of the day, both in double digit range, as Elle Copple won medalist honors, shooting 94, and her teammate Courtney Crose shooting 97. Maysville’s top score, at 98 by Hayley Sweiger, was good for third place.
In comparison to Gallatin, Maysville was able to more effectively put up strong scores from its squad, with rounds ranging from 98 to 115. Gallatin’s four scores ranged from 94 up to 122. Maysville’s team score of 414 outpaced Gallatin’s 431, with Stanberry’s 466 earning third place.
Trenton High School shot 479 on the day, good for sixth place. South Harrison shot 550 for 7th place and Princeton 595 for 8th place.
