For a couple of weeks, since the Southeastern Conference announced plans to go to a 10-game, conference only football schedule in 2020, the Missouri Tigers know they will be opening against #3 ranked Alabama at Faurot Field.  On Tuesday afternoon, Mizzou learned that the game, the first for Eliah Drinkwitz as head coach of the Tigers, will be played in prime time on ESPN.

Alabama’s visit to Columbia will be one of seven to be played across the conference landscape on September 26th, with the game to kickoff at 6 o’clock, with a 4 o’clock pregame show on the Green Hills “Home of the Tigers”, KTTN FM 92.3.  Other games on September 26th will be Florida at Ole Miss (11 AM / ESPN), Kentucky at Auburn (11 AM / SEC Network), Georgia at Arkansas (3 PM / SEC Network), Tennessee at South Carolina (6:30 PM / SEC Network), and Vanderbilt at Texas A&M (6:30 PM / SEC Network Alternate).  The first “SEC on CBS” game of the week will see defending national champion LSU host Mississippi State at 2:30.

In addition to the Alabama game, three more Mizzou games have been chosen for broadcast homes, with the game at Tennessee on October 3rd slated for the SEC Network.  The SEC Network will also get Vanderbilt’s trip to Mizzou on October 17th at 6:30 PM, and the Tigers home game with Kentucky on October 31st at 11 AM.

Missouri’s game at home against Arkansas remains set for Saturday, November 28th.  In the past, CBS, in cooperation with the SEC, have moved that game to the day after Thanksgiving, but there has been no announcement from the SEC in any sort of plan for that in 2020.  Andrew Hutchison of HawgBeat.com reported on Tuesday afternoon that the Arkansas at Missouri will not move this year.

Here are the SEC football games scheduled, with times and broadcast, for 2020.  The remaining games on the schedule will be given kickoff times using the traditional 12-or-6-day windows used in past years.
