The University of Missouri women’s basketball team is set to participate in the Daytona Beach Classic on November 24th and 25th, as announced by the program. The Tigers will face off against Tennessee Tech and Kent State at the Daytona Beach Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. Fans can catch the action on FloHoops, the streaming platform.

Last season, the Missouri women’s basketball team concluded with an 18-14 record (6-10 in the Southeastern Conference). They began the year strongly, winning 14 out of their first 16 games. However, the team faced challenges in SEC play, including a six-game losing streak, and were eliminated in the first round of the SEC Tournament. The Tigers secured a spot in the Women’s National Invitation Tournament, defeating Illinois State 61-51 before losing to Kansas in the second round.

Looking ahead to the 2023-24 season, the Tigers are aiming to bounce back. Returning talents such as two-time All-SEC honoree Hayley Frank and All-SEC freshman Ashton Judd provide a strong foundation for the team.

In addition to their participation in the Daytona Beach Classic, Missouri has already confirmed matchups against Kansas State and Virginia as part of their plans for the upcoming season. Fans can anticipate the full schedule for the 2023-24 season to be released at a later date.
