Mizzou women picked for 9th place finish in SEC

The University of Missouri women’s basketball program begins the challenge of playing after the graduation of All-American Sophie Cunningham this season, with the media from throughout the Southeastern Conference expecting a step back for the ascending Tiger program in 2019-2020.

Missouri was chosen to finish 9th in the 14 team SEC in the preseason poll conducted by a panel of both SEC and national media members.  

Ranking in the top half of the poll was South Carolina, Texas A&M, Mississippi State, Kentucky, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Auburn.  In the second half of the poll was LSU at 8th and Mizzou 9th.  MU was one of seven SEC program to make the NCAA Tournament last season.
