The Lathrop Mules took 2 1/2 innings to beat the Trenton Bulldogs in high school baseball action on Friday afternoon, 16-0 at the Lathrop High School Sports Complex.

Trenton struggled, with only one base hit, that off the bat of lead-off hitter Tucker Otto.  The Bulldogs struck out six times against Lathrop pitching.

THS, in the game, burned through five pitchers, with that group combining for 12 base on-balls while striking our four batters.  Lathrop’s #3 hitter, Fine, had a home run, part of a nine-hit effort from the Mules offense.  Trenton’s defense was generally solid, committing only on error.

Trenton, now 0-2 on the season, will host Cameron on Monday afternoon.
