First-year North Central Missouri College softball coach Steve Richman continues to mine the local area for incoming talent, announcing the signing of Maryville High School senior Abbie Greeley to a national letter of intent.  Greeley, noted for exceptional athletic ability for the Lady Spoofhounds, was a first-team All-Midland Empire Conference selection and first team all-district honoree as a senior.  As a junior, Abbie was a second-team all-district pick

Coach Richman indicated that Greeley’s workout while visiting the Trenton campus made an impression on him, highlighted by her ability to ‘play with intensity and desire, with quickness to the ball, a great arm, and the ability to lay out for a fly ball at full speed’.

In her senior season at MHS, Greeley hit .365 and scored 15 runs for the Lady ‘Hounds.  Coach Richman said the combination of athletic ability from the outfield and having the character the Lady Pirates demand off the field from their student-athletes will make Greeley a great fit into the incoming freshman class.  Greeley is an Academic All-State selection in softball for the state of Missouri.
