Savannah boys, Marceline girls win Saturday’s Chillicothe Wrestling Tournament

The Savannah Savages amassed 154 1/2 points to win the seven school Chillicothe Wrestling Tournament on Saturday afternoon.  Brookfield was second with 127 1/2 points, followed by Marceline’s 109 1/2, Kirksville’s 109, Boonville at 99, Chillicothe 95, and Macon 52 points.

First-place finishers from the immediate area were Brookfield’s Xaiver Sada (113 pounds), Peyton Parn (132 pounds), and Devan Parn (190 pounds).  Chillicothe had three champions with Carter Shipers (120 pounds), Cayden Larson (175 pounds), and Bo Smith (heavyweight).

Marceline boasted two first-place finishers in Conner Quinn at 157 pounds and Jagger Sportsman at 165 pounds.

The Lady Tigers of Marceline High School racked up 71 points to win the girls team title from Saturday, followed by Chillicothe’s 51 1/2, Mexico 49, Boonville 26, Brookfield 22, Macon 21, and Savannah’s 20 points.

First place finishers included five from Marceline, with Madison Teeter (110 pounds), Aislin Schick (130), Peyton Weese (140), Jada Taylor (145), and Mya Florine (155).  Other first place championship finishes went to Brookfield’s Raylee King at 100 pounds and Chillicothe’s Yoo Lee at 120 pounds.
