Three Mizzou Tigers to test NBA waters

Mizzou Basketball

University of Missouri junior guard Xavier Pinson, senior forward Mitchell Smith, and senior center Jeremiah Tilmon have announced their intentions of entering their names in the 2020 NBA Draft pool, testing the process, while still taking steps to retain their collegiate eligibility.  In order to be eligible to play at Mizzou in the 2020-2021 season, they would need to withdraw from the draft by June 3rd.

Pinson, as a quickly improving sophomore, averaged 11.1 points per game for the Tigers last season, including 13.3 PPG and ten outings in double figures in SEC play.  In a late-season win over Mississippi, Pinson, a Chicago native, had a career-high 32 points.

Smith, in his fourth season at Missouri, set career highs in 2019-2020 with 153 points and 146 rebounds for coach Cuonzo Martin, while Tilmon, a native of East St. Louis, battled injuries in his junior season, holding him to just 17 games, averaging 8.2 points per game.  His 79 career blocks are 11th all-time at MU.
