Trenton volleyball aims for winning surge in 2016

Volleyball

Signs of encouragement are in full view during the first two mornings of Trenton High School’s volleyball practice for the 2016 season. Coming off a five-win season that saw the Lady Bulldogs overmatched by the experience on the opposite side of the net, this year, the THS netters appear stronger, more confident, and are certainly one year older.

Returning as Head Coach for Trenton is Amanda King, who is pleased with the turn-out of girls for the opening of practice:

Trenton will open the 2016 campaign with three straight home matches, taking on Cameron on Monday, August 22nd, Lawson on Tuesday, August 23rd, and Chillicothe on Thursday, August 25th. Unlike other THS squads with a focus on winning the Grand River Conference this year, that goal does not exist for Coach King’s team. However, that is due to a lack of volleyball playing schools in the GRC that has left the volleyball schedule relatively unchanged from past years:

Trenton’s road opener is at Hamilton on Monday, August 29th. The Lady Bulldogs will participate in the Lathrop Tournament on September 10th and the Carrollton Tournament on October 1st.
