Trenton’s Croy finishes 20th with round of 84, Bulldogs in 15th place at Kansas City tournament

The Trenton Bulldog boys golf team traveled to the Tiffany Greens Golf Course in Kansas City on Thursday, participating in the Darren Floyd Memorial Tournament.  Nineteen schools were in the event, with Liberty High School’s score of 322 good for the team championship.  Lee’s Summit West (324) and Lee’s Summit High School (333) finished second and third, with the 333 of Lee’s Summit tied by Liberty North.

Trenton finished in 15th place, with a score of 448, besting the 468 of Fort Osage, 530 from Oak Park, 587 for Winnetonka, and 693 for North Kansas City.  The Marceline Tigers, with a team score of 372, tied with Raymore-Peculiar for 13th place.

Trenton’s Lathan Croy shot a 12-over par score of 84, good for a 20th place tie with Jake Harman of Liberty and Nick Lovick of Rockhurst.  T. Hamilton had Marceline’s top score, a 9-over par round of 81.  Smithville’s Trace Walters won a tiebreak over Charlie Russell of Lee’s Summit West, after both shot 76 on the 18-hole course.

Other Trenton scores for the day of golf were Lucas Clark at 117, Mason Owen at 121, Gavin Roeder 126, and Max McNabb 129.
