Princeton, Marceline wins shake up Class 1 poll

High School Football Local Sports

Missouri’s media has released the updated high school football poll on Monday afternoon, with both 11-man and 8-man teams getting ready to finish the regular season with Week 9 contests this Friday night.

The biggest shake-up in the polls came as a result of two homefield wins for Tiger teams over ranked opponents, as Marceline hammered #6 ranked Westran 45-6 in a Lewis and Clark showdown, while in Princeton, the Tigers, in a game heard on KTTN FM 92.3, beat #9 ranked South Harrison, 28-6.  Those results sent Westran and South Harrison tumbling, allowed Milan to rebound from last week’s fall, while surging Marceline, on a six-game winning streak, back into a familiar spot in the Top 10.

Here are the state media polls, released on Monday, October 19, 2020.
