The Richmond Spartans hosted the Class 3, District 8 track and field meet on Saturday afternoon, with top four finishers in each individual event advancing to the Class 2, Section 4 meet this coming Saturday, May 19th.
The Chillicothe boys continued their strong track season with a district championship, amassing 118 points to outlast Maryville’s 115. The Trenton Bulldogs, with 51 points, finished in seventh place.
The Blue Tigers of Lincoln College Prep won the girl’s team title with 110 points, just three more than the runner-up Trenton Lady Bulldogs. Lawson was third with 87 points, with Chillicothe, at 60 points, in the fifth position.
