The North Central Missouri College lost in its regular season finale on Saturday afternoon to North Arkansas, 85-71, snapping the Pirates eight game winning streak and dropping the team’s record to 18-9.

The Region 16 regular season standings, thanks to a St. Louis road win at Penn Valley, ended in a three-way tie, with the Pirates tied with the Archers and Scouts, all at 4-2.  Tie-break rules gave the #1 seed to Penn Valley, with the Scouts drawing a match-up with Wentworth Military Academy at 6 o’clock on Thursday night.  In the night-cap, #3 seed North Central will battle #2 seed St. Louis on Hot Country Z 101.7.

Like the women, the men’s D-2 Region 16 tournament semifinals and finals will be played at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, with the men’s championship game slated for 3 o’clock on Saturday afternoon.

In Saturday’s loss at Northark, Demetrius Houston Jr. led the Pirates with 18 points.
