Mizzou throttles in-state foe SEMO 59-21

Tyler Badie scored three first-half touchdowns while Connor Bazelak threw for 346 yards as the Missouri Tigers improved to 2-1 on the season with a 59-21 victory on Saturday afternoon over Southeast Missouri State.

SEMO (0-3) was held to 69 yards in total in the first half, with Bazelak going 21-of-30 for the first half, completing scoring passes of 11 yards to Badie, 46 yards to Boo Smith, and 52 yards to Chance Luper.

By halftime, Mizzou had a commanding 38-0 lead, with redshirt freshman Brady Cook and true freshman Tyler Macon handling the quarterback duties in the second half, with a three-yard touchdown pass to Elijah Young from Cook, and Macon’s first touchdown pass as a Tiger, a 65-yard strike to J.J. Hester.  Michael Cox had the final touchdown of the day for MU, a 55-yard fourth-quarter run.

Missouri continues non-conference action on Saturday, September 25th, playing the Boston College Eagles in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, with an 11 o’clock kick on ESPN2, with pregame at 9 o’clock on the Tiger Radio Network and KTTN FM 92.3.
