The North Central Missouri College lady pirates will play another game in the National Junior College Division Two Basketball Tournament.
In a game broadcast this morning on our sister station, KGOZ FM, NCMC defeated Grand Rapids Community College of Michigan 78 to 67.
With the win, North Central advances to play Friday at 10 am against the team from Niagara County New York. If the lady Pirates lose, they drop out of the tournament with a one-and-two record. If they win Friday, they will have a two-and-one record and advance to play a 7th place game on Saturday at 11 am.
For the second time in as many games, Hamiltons’ Nora Ford led the Pirates with a game-high 28 points.
North Central entered this week’s national tournament as a number 10 seed out of 16 community colleges from across the country.
Sports Director Tom Johnson will have the play-by-play of tomorrow morning’s game live from Port Huron, Michigan. Hear the game on your radio at 101.7 FM or listen to our audio stream on the KTTN/KGOZ website.
