Trenton Kids Wrestlers win five championships at Gallatin event

The Trenton Kids Wrestling Club had another busy weekend, with appearances in three separate tournaments, from Gallatin to St. Joseph and Liberty.  The greatest success for Trenton was found in the “Heartbreaker Open” on Saturday in Gallatin, with five taking first-place honors.  Those were Owen Lowe (6U/50B), Kynsen Bain (6U/55), Jackson Miller (6U/65), Archer Gannon (8U/60), and Gavin Chamber (14U/115).  

Finishing second for Trenton in the Heartbreaker Open were Spencer Stieh, Leon McPherson, and Brayden Clause.  Braylee Barron, Jackson Black, Cooper Eaton and Bentlee Tunnell were third, with Bryar Foster in fourth place, while Black Gannon and Jayla Bell were fifth.

In the Liberty Nationals in St. Joseph on Saturday, Trenton’s Chase Foster was second in the 10 and under, 130 pound division.  Brayden Hughs was third at 12 and under, 115 pounds, with Foster, pulling double duty in the 10 and under / 120 to 130 pound class, finishing fourth in that grouping.

On Sunday, the Trenton wrestlers headed to Liberty for the Victory Open.  Sam Gibson, in the 14 and under, 155 pound group, took first place.  Charlie Riley had a second place finish, with Brayden Hughs and Hunter McAtee each in third position.
